Probably, I have an old friend who interviewed him in WTCR Race of China, he was quite dissapointed that Audi was very uninterested in closing the gap between Gen 1 and Gen 2 TCR cars.

    So.... Motorbase....

Ollie Jackson announced as expected, but a "newly built Focus RS" is this a Mk3 or Mk4 Focus shell? I was kinda hoping it would be a new car altogether as the Mk3 Focus has probably peaked in development. I couldn't see Buthcher and Shedden tripping over themselves to drive it either....

Yeah I know, but didn't Dynamics get to call the old S2000 Civic a "Type R" despite them not making a 2 Litre 5 door version at the time?

I think you might be onto something there .....

Have to say I'm very surprised to see him back. I thought he'd lost an too much goodwill after his last couple of capers.

Ah, well, BTCC is anything but boring, eh.

Is it true that he is named specifically in the TOCA rulebook as not being allowed into BTCC? I keep hearing it, but i dont know where to find the rules, and it seems so out there to the point of not being believable. I trust people on here to be far more informed than the crowd spouting off on facebook groups.

If it were true that he was not allowed back into BTCC I would have thought it was highly unlikely it would be part of the rulebook, more like that TOCA might have a separate blacklist. I did think it was more a case of him burning his boats with some team owners, i.e. Dynamics and the failure to fully bring his team to the grid a few years ago. I believe (and I may well be wrong) that teams have to prove they complete a season (the old force majeure being the exception). Drivers like Neate, on the other hand, only have to prove to team owners they have the finance to pay for the season drive.

    We'll see.
