    BTCC Forum Predictions 2019: Knockhill

    Hello people!

    Welcome to the second round of the 2019 BTCC.net forum predictions championship. The format is staying the same as the 2018 campaign,

    With a full grid of 30 cars, 18 previous race winners and 5 champions on the grid, it'll be a good season ahead.

    The basic format is the same as 2018, predicting the pole driver and results of the 3 races, however for 2019 it won't be the top 3 to predict but the top 5, but there is no Jack Sears Trophy part this season.

    So the format;

    Pole

    Race 1;
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    FL

    Race 2;
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    FL

    Race 3;
    Reverse grid draw;
    Reverse Grid Pole;
    1
    2
    3
    4
    5
    FL

    The points scoring for 2019 is;

    Race 1 Pole; 12 Points
    Races 1, 2 & 3;

    P1 - 30 Points
    P2 - 26 Points
    P3 - 22 Points
    P4 - 20 Points
    P5 - 18 Points
    FL - 15 Points

    Reverse Grid number; 10 Points
    Reverse Grid Driver; 15 Points

    If you get both position and driver correct, it'll be 30 points.

    For race 1 only, if you predict Pole, Winner and FL correctly, you'll score 70 Points, compared to the 57 it would be. So if you predicted Turkington to get Pole, win R1 and FL, you'll score 70 points but it would be 42 Points if he got pole and the win but another driver got FL.

    Unlike in 2018, half points won't be awarded if a driver does finish inside the top 5, but not the position you predicted.

    Rounds 5 and 10 will be double points rounds as per usual.

    Good luck one and all!

    The championship at the moment:
    Vanilla_Astra - 311 points
    Klaus - 271 points
    Motormouth_33 - 246 points
    SpanneredMonkey - 222 points
    Clio172ron - 171 points
    Cari Lou - 169 points

    Hello,

    here are the results for Knockhill.
    Hope I made it all correctly - if I made a mistake, please tell me.

    Klaus: 71 points
    Cari Lou: 48 points
    SpanneredMonkey: 30 points
    motormouth_33: 10 points

    Some really could have made big points this round. Often you only missed by one place! And that a few times. If the scoring system would be like the last years, there would be some high numbers.

    Championship after Knockhill:

    Klaus: 342 points
    Vanilla_Astra: 311 points
    motormouth_33: 256 points
    SpanneredMonkey: 252 points
    Cari Lou: 217 points
    clio172ron: 171 points

    So it's really close in the midfield and as one of the two rounds is a double-scoring one, there can be gained a lot of points! Nothing decided, yet!

    Thanks to all for participating.

    Hi all,

    Firstly - thank you Klaus for keeping this alive, I owe you one. Please feel free to keep it going until the end of the campaign, I've full faith in your ability to run it to my standards.

    I've seen the messages of concern for my absence - I appreciate them all. I've not been myself recently, I've been struggling with my mental health and with massive problems with the now ex other half, I've had to focus on trying to rebuild myself and sadly, this is one thing that I've had to let go for a while. With everything that was happening, I couldn't run it to my normal standards.

    I'll enter the Silverstone and Brands GP rounds once they're open.

    Thank you once again for everyones concern about my wellbeing and a massive amount of thanks to Klaus for keeping it alive.

    I'm glad that you are OK.
    Was really concerned - you wrote that you are moving, so I first thought, you had some probems with getting internet in your new home. But as time gone by, I just started to hope, that nothing happened to you.
    I hope your mental health and everything else will get better - had problems with it myself…

    And for running the game:
    No problem and no need to thank

    Best wishes to you.

    Whilst i never enter this game, i always follow it and respect the effort it takes to run it. Mental health is massively important, and often overlooked. I hope you get yourself on an even keel as soon as is possible matey. Take your time to make sure you are right, this of all things will tick along just fine without you for as long as it takes.
