This season覧The heaviest success ballast ever applied?

When watch old videos about past seasons I found actually this season's new rule with success ballast was not the heaviest success ballast ever applied to cars.Apart form the famous 90kg ballast that was carried by Audis in the early part of 97' season,in 2001 Vauxhall's success ballast was actually at 90kg level as well! And even at that weight onboard all four Astra Coupes dominated the every race of the season, just showing how good those cars was!

...or how bad everyone else was! They had to beat some ratty Alfa 147s with Formula 3 engines, a whale sized Peugeot 406, a mad oversteering Lexus and a MG which didn't turn up until later!
    You're welcome.

Well you surely can say that!I remember Vic Lee even called shortening the gap between the Peugeot and Vauxhall down to 1.3s as a big achievement in Thruxton! And Soper said he probably never should agree the contract with Peugeot. And the Lexus is indeed horrible,Kurt Luby couldn't even switch on the headlights during the night race in Silverstone for a couple of laps!

But those Astras still dominated 3 more years after 2001,just showed they are indeed fantastic cars.
