    BTCC Media Day Pictures

    Hi guys,

Here is a link to my flickr account showing pics of media day this year. Was my first time with my new Canon EOS 350D. Took pictures with a 75-300mm lens. Any feedback greatly appreciated

Also uploaded my photos as well. I also had a new camera and struggled with it (didn't realise how much of a pain it is not having a few finder and relying on just the screen), must have deleted a good few hundred photos

I did manage to get to a place I shouldn't have been at the exit to the pit lane where it should have been official photographers only

Some nice pictures just ashame about the fence

In future it might be worth going up to the fence and sticking you lense through it (depending how bid it is!), thats how I got alot of mine.

Thank you mate, It was the first time I went out with it and I think I got most of the settings right, I coudl turn the shutter speed down a bit to give the wheels a bit more blur, but as you say the fence was in the way most of the time!

I can try and stick my lens through the fence but wasnt sure if that would stop my panning ability! will give it a try next time!

what camera / lens were you using?

if you have a DSLR it might be worth dropping the shutter speed down a bit to get those wheels moving and the background blurred, give some real movement to the shot. i think that makes sense, otherwise some nie pictures!

    Hi,

I am new to this so if I make a mistake I appoligise in adveance.

My photo's from the Media day are here :
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/6111267...7626232414969/

I was surprised at the lack of crowd control and was able (along with a lot of other people) able to get into the pit lane for the first half hour which allowed for some incredible close-up's of the cars.

Also at Maggots it was possible to stand on the 'dangerous' side of the fence on the inside of the corner.

A few photos have been cropped to focus your attention on the cars.

Taken with a NIKON D80 with 18-135mm or 70-300mm lens. Any feedback is more than welcome.

    Hi,

Here are some of the better photo's that I took at Silverstone. I was one of the many that made it onto the pit lane during the first 30 minutes of the public session, so managed to get some good close up's of the cars.

It was a top day with pretty relaxed stewarding, I guess they realised that only dedicated/responsible fans would be present....

Cannot wait until the action starts at the weekend
